Where You'll See Attachments All sheet attachments appear in the right panel, regardless of where they're specifically attached in the sheet. Access and preview attachments In the sheet: Click the Attachments icon in the right panel. Click the name of an attached image to preview it. Quickly go to the source row You can click the row number under the name of an attachment to quickly go to that row for additional context on the file.
Download a single attachment You can only download files that were uploaded directly form a device. In the sheet: Click the Attachments icon in the right panel. The Attachments panel appears. Hover over the attachment name, click the More icon , and then click Download File. The most current version of the file will be downloaded in its original format.

You can open an attachment from the Reading Pane, from a message in a message list such as your Inbox, or from within an open message.
In the Reading Pane, double-click the attachment. You can also right-click the message that has the attachment and choose View Attachments. Note: If you are given the choice between opening and saving the attachment, keep in mind that it is a good idea to save the file first and then scan it by using an antivirus program before you open it.
After opening and viewing an attachment, you may choose to save it to your hard disk drive. Click OK , choose a folder location, and then click OK again. Save all attachments from the message list. Double-click the attachment icon to open the attachment. Open an attachment You can open an attachment from the Reading Pane or from an open message. To preview an attachment, click the attachment and it will show in place in the message body To return to the message, on the Attachment Tools tab, in the Message group, click Show Message. Save one or more attachments Click the attachment in the Reading Pane or the open message. View preview an attachment without opening it Attachment Preview, a new feature in the Microsoft Office system, allows you to preview some attachment file types without opening them.
